Kathy Wurz is the administrator of the R.M. of Mariposa No. 350.  She started working here in 2015 as Acting Administrator while she mentored under the former administrator, Terry Bohn.  In 2016, Kathy took over the office.  Kathy was born and raised in Luseland and is the eldest daughter of Don and Shirley Vollman.  She grew up on a farm 5 miles west of Luseland. Kathy graduated from Arthur Geelan Composite High School in 1990 and then went on to attend the University of Regina, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Science in 1994.  She enjoyed politics from a young age and helped on several political campaigns both while at university and later on during the course of her career.   Kathy took her Local Government Authority program and received her diploma in 2015.  She received her Rural Class “C” certificate in 2016.  Kathy has also completed a certificate program in asset management planning and is currently taking the Municipal Management Essential program through Southeast College. Most recently, Kathy received her Rural Class “A” certificate in May of 2022.  She has also served as a town councillor for three terms in the Town of Luseland and in 2020, became the first ever “female” mayor of the Town of Luseland.
 Kathy has three children, the eldest daughter is Dakota, who resides in Biggar, SK. and works in IT for the Biggar & District Credit Union.  Her fiancé is Logan Dommett who works as the Regional Safety, Health & Environment Coordinator at Boortmalt.   Her youngest two are still in high school, Hannah is going into grade 12 in the fall of 2022 and her son Carter will be entering grade 10 in the fall. Kathy and her partner, Shawn Benjamin reside in Luseland, SK. and enjoy as much time as they can at their lake property at Meeting Lake, SK.
